Mary Faye Widdowson

Mary Faye Widdowson (Lazarchik) passed away peacefully at her home in New Alexandria on July 7, 2024, at the age of 80, surrounded by her children. She was born on November 4, 1943, in Latrobe, to Nicholas A. and Elizabeth C. (Nair) Lazarchik.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, James Lazarchik; her three sisters, Nancy Lazarchik, Jane Fentzel, and Catherine Lazarchik; and her daughter, Paula Powers.

Mary Faye's passion for life, kindness, and unwavering spirit will always be remembered. She will be deeply missed by her surviving children and their families: her son Richard and his wife Cheryl Diss of Derry, along with their children Dylan and Devan, and Devan's husband Jim Ritenour; her son Jeff and his wife Denise Diss of New Alexandria, and their children Lindsey and Caelan; her daughter Susan and her husband Harry Mackowiak of Pleasant Hills, and their children Madelyn and Cameron; her granddaughter Cassandra Powers and great-grandson Corbin. She is also survived by her sister Carol Wyke of Smithton, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who all meant the world to her. 

As per Mary Faye's request, no viewing will be held. A memorial mass will be celebrated Saturday July 27, at 10 AM in St. Martin Catholic Church, New Derry.  Inurnment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Latrobe.
