Michael Sheehy Obituary

Michael Patrick Sheehy, 73, of Ligonier, died at home on March 18, 2024. He is survived by his loving children, Patrick and Virginia, his former wife Cynthia Bates, two grandchildren, Melissa and Hunter, brothers, Charles (Export) and Edward (Latrobe), sister-in-law, Phyllis and three nieces, Megan Melucci, Molly Creenan and Colleen (Kelly) DeGroot. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Polly Sheehy, and a brother, the Reverend Father Dennis E. Sheehy, who served as a priest for 39 years in the Greensburg dioceses. Mike was born on November 15, 1950 in Latrobe. He graduated from Holy Trinity School in Ligonier, Greensburg Central High School and attended Saint Vincent College. Mike was known for his musical talent, hard work and good humor. He retired from Rolling Rock Country Club in 2011. Mike's family extends its sincere gratitude to Senior Life Services of Greensburg for the care they extended to Mike over the past several years. At Mike's request funeral arrangements and internment will be private. A memorial service may be scheduled at a future date. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to McCabe Funeral Home, Ligonier, PA.
