Nancy Brant

Nancy M (Queer) Brant, 89, of Ligonier, passed away Thursday, August 28, 2025 at Concordia at Bethlen in Ligonier.
She was born July 27, 1936 in Mount Pleasant,  the daughter of Olive M Queer.
She formerly had been employed as a cook at the former Town House and Ligonier Tavern restaurants.
Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Walter M Brant Sr, her daughter, Margaret M "Peg" Klotz, her son Walter M "Sonny" Brant Jr, and a granddaughter, Amy Shipley.
She is survived by two grandchildren, Walter M Brant III (Nicole) and Maggie M Brant, both of Ligonier; great grandchildren, Devin Hartman (Kylee Buterbaugh), Cody and Cortland Brant, Natalie Busija, Jacob and Maylee Hissem; great great grandchildren, Braxtyn and Brynlee Hartman; her daughter in law, Beverly Brant, and son in law, John Klotz. Her "adopted granddaughters" Erin Shumbat and Kathy Sheaffer will miss her dearly.
The family would like to thank the nurses, caregivers, and hospice team at Concordia at Bethlen for the loving care they showed Nancy during her illness.
At Nancy's request, there will be no public visitation or funeral service with burial in Menoher Cemetery beside her husband Walter.
