Raymond H. Keener Jr.

Raymond H. Keener Jr., 80, of Stahlstown, died Monday June 29, 2026 at Select Specialty Hospital, Latrobe. He was born March 4, 1946 in Latrobe the son of the late Raymond H. Keener Sr. and Idella Pritts Keener.Ray was a member of the Stahlstown Trinity Community Church and had retired from Robertshaw Controls Corporation in Youngwood. He had served in the Army National Guard for eleven years , was a former member of the Ligonier VFD Hose Company #1 and belonged to the Laughlintown Protective Association. Fishing with his nephews, hunting, golfing and watching sprint car races were things that gave him great pleasure. He was a devoted husband and father who was very fond of his grandchildren.
He is survived by his loving wife of forty-five years Joan Ulery Keener, his daughter Jodi E. Knopsnider (Brian Ritenour), his grandchildren Kyle Knopsnider (Danielle Farkas), Aeriale and Josie Knopsnider, great grandson Colton Knopsnider, in-laws; Geary Ulery (Carol), Ruth Ann Lann (Claude) and Judy Waggel (Jim), several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends will be received Thursday July 2, 2026 from 4-7 pm in the McCabe Funeral Home, 144 East Main Street, Ligonier, where a service will be conducted Friday at 11 am with Pastor Vickie Lynch officiating. Interment will follow in the Stahlstown Cemetery.
