Richard J. Kuhn

Richard "Rick" J. Kuhn, 69, of Ligonier passed away peacefully surrounded by his family Sunday December 22, 2024.  He was born July 15, 1955 in Swissvale, Pa a son of the late Frederick and Geraldine (McGuire) Kuhn.  Rick  Was a member of Hoy Trinity Catholic Church in Ligonier.  Rick was a baseball player for the Cincinnati Reds from 1971-1973.  He was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan and loves music.  Rick was eager to teach his athletic skills to athletes from many levels, from little league to the college level having coached for Boyce College.  Rick is survived by his wife Patti Jo, his children John R. Kuhn (Katie) of Melbourne Fl., Annie M. Kuhn of Pittsburgh, Kari E. Kuhn-Wagner (Luke) of Ligonier, two brothers Frederick Kuhn (Eleanor) of Pittsburgh, Jerry Kuhn (Joanne) of Myrtle Beach SC, three grandsons Maxwell, Maverick and Mason Kuhn, several nieces and nephews.  Family will receive friends Saturday January 4, 2025 in the McCabe Funeral Home 144 East Main St. Ligonier from 11-1 PM with a memorial service at 1 PM in the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers family would appreciate donations to be made to the UPMC Hillman Cancer Center, 200 Village Dr. Greensburg, PA 15601.  Online condolences may be made at mccabefuneralhomespa.com
