Rita J. Hough

Rita J. Hough, 89, of Latrobe, died Saturday November 1, 2025 at IHS Westmoreland Hospital. She was born July 6, 1936 in Latrobe a daughter of the late Charles L. and Ann Cooney Ellenberger.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Charles M. Hough, a sister Janet Cowan, brothers; Charles, James, Lawrence and John Ellenberger, daughters; Debra Ann McIlnay and Beverly Jean Hignett.

Rita had retired as a nurses aide from Latrobe Area Hospital.

She is survived by her daughter Melissa R. Malloy (Phillip) of Derry, sisters; Anita Hunter of Latrobe, Betty Knupp (Ronald "Chip") of Ligonier, brother William Ellenberger (Jennifer) of Leeper, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

At her request all services were to be private.

McCabe Funeral Home, 300 W. Third Avenue, Derry is in charge of arrangements.
