Robert Edward Boynton

Robert Edward Boynton, of Ligonier, died Sunday, Oct. 29, at his beloved country home. He was born Aug. 7, 1955, in Greensburg, to the late Gertrude and Paul Boynton. Bob's greatest pleasures in life were his family, friends, healthy food, animals, gardening, and nature. After retiring from a career as a telecommunications professional, he enjoyed spending time in his large garden and generously sharing its bounty with others. He was preceded in death by his mother; father; stepmother, Elizabeth Gernhardt Boynton; sister, Jane Boynton; and son, Adam Boynton. He is survived by his children, Amber Boynton, Anne Carta and Aaron Boynton; grandchildren, Aden Boynton and Elias Carta; siblings and step-siblings, Paul Boynton Jr., William Boynton, Marcia Andrews, Gerald Boynton, Paul Gernhardt, and Margaret Gernhardt Wolf; and many other cherished friends and family members. A celebration of Bob's life will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 3, at The Barn at Ligonier Valley, 1 Springer Road, Ligonier.
