Robert J. Brown

Robert J, Brown, 90, of Rector, PA, formerly of Light House Point, FL. passed away unexpectedly on January 1, 2023 at his home. He was born on December 12, 1932 in Pittsburgh, the son of the late Howard and Lilian Eddinger Brown.
Bob was a US Navy Veteran, a professional radio broad caster for "Easy Listening" music and was a member of the Rector United Methodist Church.
He was the beloved husband of Zeda (Bouris) Brown for more than 59 years, Loving father of Jerry Brown, Terry Knaack, Robert H. (Linda) Brown, and Bonnie (Steven) Shearer, grandfather of Troy Brown and Anthony Shearer and the late Steven Shearer and Cortney Walters, and great-grandfather to Caylee and Rylee Shearer. He is also survived by siblings Howard (Kay) Brown and Lilian (Bill) Chiado and the late Dolores DeGeer.  He is also survived by many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews. 
Friends will be received Friday from 11am-1pm at the McCabe Funeral Home, 144 East Main Street, Ligonier with a service to be held at 1pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Rector United Methodist Church, 624 Weaver Mill Road, Rector, PA, 15677.
