Robert Glenn Mitchell

Robert Glenn Mitchell, 77, of Ligonier, died unexpectedly Thursday February 20, 2025 at his home. He was born November 15, 1947 in Ligonier a son of the late Robert G. and Mary Lou Taylor Mitchell.
He was a proud US Marine. Bob retired from Ligonier Township, had been a coal miner for the United Mine Workers, had driven school bus for the Ligonier School District and was chief of the fire police for the Ligonier Twp. VFD #1, Waterford Station 44 and had 50 years of service to the fire company.
Bob was married to Carol Ruth Nicely Mitchell who passed away on the same day.
He is survived by his daughter Tammy L. Roberts (William) of Ligonier, his son Randy L. Lawson of Derry, his sisters; Anna Marie Will (John) of Ligonier and Pamela Adamson (John) of Ligonier, grandchildren; Michael Roberts (Beth), Joshua Roberts (Angela) and Jenni David (Quinn), great grandchildren; Will, Jake, Hayley, Karley, Nataley and Caleb, several nieces and nephews.
At his request all services were to be private.
