Roger G. West

Roger G. West, 85, of Ligonier, died Tuesday May 14, 2024, at Independence Health System, Latrobe. He was born September 7, 1938 in Waterford a son of the late Joseph and Anna Kinsey West. Roger was a proud US Navy Veteran and was a member of the Christian Church of Waterford where he had served as an elder, Ligonier Masonic Lodge #331 F&Am, was a 32degree mason, a lifetime member of the NRA, had served on the board at the Kinsey Museum and for 50 years he owned and operated Waterford Tooling.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers; Richard, William, Ronald and Lauren West, and three sisters; Mildred Welshonse, Josie Smith and Helen West.
Roger is survived by his loving wife Joyce Henderson West, his daughter Jody Kromel (David) of Waterford, sons; Rodney Glenn West (Pamela) of Waterford, Eric West (Wendy) of Ashburn, VA and Heath West (Heather) of Amissville, VA, a brother Robert West of Flushing, MI, a sister Kathleen Thomas of Zanesville, OH, grandchildren; Rory West (Chloe), Ashley Hebert (Adam), Kyle West, Rachel Noble (Seth), Rebecca Boyer (Thomas), Christian and Sydney West, great grandchildren; Nora and Beckham Hebert, Walker Boyer and Anna West, numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8pm in the McCabe Funeral Home, 144 East Main Street, Ligonier. A funeral service will be conducted Friday at 11am at the Christian Church of Waterford (Everyone is asked to go to the church). Interment will be made in the Green Mountain Cemetery.
Masonic Lodge #331 F&AM will conduct a service Thursday at 7pm in the funeral home.
The Ligonier Valley Honor Guard will conduct a service Thursday at 7:30pm in the funeral home.
