Ronald W. Hanlin

Ronald W. Hanlin 76, of Latrobe, passed away at his home July 25, 2024.  He was born October 26, 1947, in Latrobe a son of the late Wilbert and Helen (Ackerman) Hanlin.  Ronald is survived by his wife of 54 years Linda (Seaman) Hanlin.  Ronald had been employed by Fansteel for 39 years in the customer service department. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and belonged to the American Legion Post 982 in Pipetown.  He loved gardening and sitting outside.  He was an avid sports fan of the Steelers and especially the Pirates.  In addition to his wife Linda, Ron is survived by his sister-in-laws Kim Kutzer (Kelly), Paula Dickerson (Mike), nephews Terry Seaman, Michael Seaman, Steven Hirko and Erik Dickerson; Nieces Melissa Flock (Jeff), Janelle Kontor (Nick) and great nieces Jamie and Emily Flock.
Ron is preceded in death by his parents, a sister Jean Rae Hanlin, a brother-in-law Terry Seaman and two sister-in-laws Bonnie Slaninko and Sally Ann Seaman Moorhead.
Family will receive friends Tuesday July 30, from 6 to 8 pm in the McCabe Funeral Home, Derry.  The Latrobe and Derry Veterans Honor Guard will present military honors at 7:45 in the funeral home.  Online condolences may be made at mccabefuneralhomespa.com
