Ronald James Lottig, 69, passed away April 24th, 2025, at his home in Ligonier Township. Born in Somerset, to the late Herman and Annabelle (Kimmel) Lottig. Preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Robert H. Lottig. Survived by his wife of 31 years, Sally A. (Boyer) Lottig; son Christopher Lottig, Templeton, MA; son David (Mary Ann) Newman, Ephrata, PA; daughter Stephanie (Scott) Veri, New Castle, PA; daughter Jennifer Aldrich, Oak Island, NC; daughter Brianna (James) Livingston, Acosta, PA; son Nicholas Lottig, Boswell, PA; 15 grandchildren Emma, CJ, Owen, Zach, Josh, Ben, Lillian, Genevieve, Geno, Ali, Natalie, Braden, Abby, Julie and Kaylie; and 1 great-grandchild, Theo.
Ronald was a 1973 graduate of North Star High School, Boswell, PA. After graduation he worked as a machinist in Johnstown, PA until 2001. He and Sally then moved to Florida, and he started his own property inspection business until his retirement in 2020. They spent their summers and holidays in PA and their winters at their home in Boynton Beach, FL and later Palmetto, FL. Ronald was an avid golfer who played in numerous golf leagues at Oakbrook Golf Club, and enjoyed casual rounds at North Fork and Indian Lakes with his close friends.. He also cherished and was always looking forward to his annual golf trip to Myrtle Beach, SC with his family and close friends.
At Ronald's request there will be no funeral service. Cremation services are being handled by McCabe Funeral Home Ligonier. The family would like to thank Suncrest Hospice in Pittsburgh who comforted and cared for Ronald the last few days of his time on this earth. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Suncrest Hospice, Pittsburgh, PA in honor of Ronald.
