Ruth Jones Obituary

Ruth Joan Jones, 71, of New Florence, passed away Friday May 24, 2019 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born January 27, 1948 in Johnstown a daughter of the late William "Bud" and Julia Klodell Jarvis.

Ruth retired from Torrance State Hospital after 35 years of service as an LPN. She loved to travel, camping, being outdoors and being with family. She loved to have fun and was fun to be around.

She is survived by her loving children; Veronica Susan Buckles (Gary) of New Florence and Christopher Jones (Jennifer Nicewander) of Blairsville. Two sisters; Jenny Muir (James) of Bolivar and Betsy Queer (Earl) of Stahlstown. A brother Steve Jarvis of Blairsville, 8 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Very good friends; Bob and Nancy Shields, Larry and Diana Shrum.

At Ruth's request all services will be private.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in her name.
