Sandra L. Edmundson

Sandra L. Edmundson, 77, of Blairsville (Derry Township), died Friday June 20, 2025 at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. She was born January 9, 1948 in Latrobe a daughter of the late Clair and Louise Marts Forsha.

Sandy owned and operated her own beauty shop for over 50 years. She and her late husband Jack where very instrumental in helping to start and raise money for the Derry Area Ambulance Service. She loved to cook always having food for anyone and everyone who showed up at her house. She was the best Nana and had an unwavering love for her family.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Jack O. Edmundson.

She is survived by her daughter Janelle Hood of Blairsville, her son Jack O. Edmundson Jr., her brothers; Jeffrey Forsha of Blairsville and Dale Forsha (Angel) of Blairsville, a sister Sally Sedlacko (Louis) of New Alexandria, seven grandchildren; Cameron Willforth (Melissa), Chad, Chase (Lindsey) and Kacie Schultz, Cassidy, Riley and Mitchell Edmundson, several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, good friends: Thomas Blair, Craig and Lois Taylor.

Friends will be received Tuesday from 5-7 pm in the McCabe Funeral Home, 300 W. Third Avenue, Derry. Private burial will be made in the Coles Cemetery, Derry.
