Sandra K. Pniewski

Sandra K. Monticue Kalp Pniewski ,77, of Ligonier formerly of Stahlstown passed away peacefully at home on Thursday March 17,2022. She was born Aug.1, 1944  the daughter of the late Elwood “Whitey” and Betty Walker Monticue. 
She is survived by her husband Steve Pniewski, daughter Kelly S. Leazier (Ronald L.)  of Ligonier and her son Bret W. Kalp (Naomi)  of Stahlstown. Five grandsons, Jon Kalp, Miles Kalp, Jadon Kalp, Matthew Conn and Andy Conn. Her brother Richard Monticue (Mary) of Bradenville. Several nieces and a nephew.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by  her step dad Lino, her first husband Dale Kalp, her mother in law and best friend Joanie. Her grandparents, and serval aunts and uncles.
Sandy enjoyed going to dances at the former Sthal’s dance hall. She always dreamed of touring Europe. She was a former member of the Chestnut Ridge Lioness Club and the Firemen’s Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. The joys of her life were her kids and grandkids. She will be sadly missed by all who’s lives she touched.
A memorial service will be held on Friday March 25th at 11am at the Trinity United Methodist Church Stahlstown Pa. Pastor Christine Doran officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family ask that contributions be made to the American Cancer Society in Sandy’s name.
