Shirley H. Flickinger

Shirley H. Flickinger, 91, of Ligonier, died Thursday January 1, 2026 at St. Anne Home, Greensburg. She was born December 29, 1934 in Ligonier Township a daughter of the late Ovie and Mary L. Berkey Horner.
Shirley was a member of the Waterford United Methodist Church and worked as a registered nurse at McGinnis Hospital. She was a member of the DAR and the Red Hat Society.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband William H. Flickinger II, her brother T. Dale Horner and two sisters; Clarcie Nanassy and Velma Lunn.
She is survived by her sons; William H. Flickinger III of Ligonier and Benjamin W. Flickinger (Tammy) of Fairfield Twp., daughters; Penny Lentvorski (Stephen) of Chesapeake, Virginia and Ann L. Flickinger of Ligonier, a sister Rachel Maberry of Ligonier, grandchildren; Brett Flickinger (Danielle), Kaitlyn Flickinger, Paul Lentvorski and Jessica Lentvorski, great grandchildren; Blake, Olivia, Scarlett, Athena, Lilith, Henry and Jaxson.
Friends will be received Tuesday from 4-7 pm in the McCabe Funeral Home, 144 East Main Street, Ligonier where her service will be conducted Wednesday at 11 am with her pastor Pamela Ramsey officiating. Interment will be made in the Laurel Hill Cemetery, Laughlintown.
