Stephen R. "Barry" Bridge, 83, of Bradenville, passed peacefully Thursday January 25, 2024 in Concordia at Bethlen, Ligonier. He was born September 12, 1940 in Latrobe , the only child of Cyril and Naomi Noel Bridge.
Steve was catholic by faith, a US Air Force Veteran and had retired from Newcomers Products. For many years he had been a Boy Scout Leader for Troop 311, was a 4th Degree Knights of Columbus and had a passion for his business of sharpening knives, saws and scissors.
He is survived by his loving wife of over fifty-eight years Kathleen Leary Bridge, his daughter Elizabeth Ann Dell (John) of Latrobe, sons; Stephen R. Bridge Jr. (Kara) of Ligonier and Joseph J. Bridge (Tracy) of Bradenville, four grandchildren; Brianna, Blake, Rachel and Alex Bridge, along with his dog Mac.
Friends will be received Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the McCabe Funeral Home, 300 W. Third Avenue, Derry where a service will be conducted Tuesday at 10am. Interment will be made in the Coles Cemetery, Derry.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to Concordia at Bethlen Nursing Home and Hospice for the love and care that they showed Stephen.
The Latrobe-Derry Veterans Honor Guard will present a service Monday at 6:45 pm in the funeral home.
