Stephen W. Kozar Sr.

Stephen W Kozar Sr. 91, of Derry (Seger) died Thursday January 30, 2025. He was born on December 10, 1933, he was a son of the late Stephen W.  and Luella Kozar Franchok.
Steve was a member of the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church of Derry, had graduated from Derry Township High School. Prior to his retirement he had worked for thirty-three years at Carbidie in Irwin. Steve was an avid sportsman enjoying hunting and fishing, coaching Little League and Teener League Baseball.
 In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his beloved wife Betty Mitchell Kozar, granddaughter Mandee Kozar and a sister Jean Chamberlain.
He is survived by his sons Stephen W. Kozar Jr. (Gwen) of Derry and Mark F. Kozar (Mary Kay) of Derry. Five grandchildren; Stephen W. Kozar (Kristin), Amber Gray (Scott), Matthew Kozar (Trudie), Katie Paul (Jason), and Samantha Somers (Cody). 12 great grandchildren; Aidan, Addison, Stephen, Abigail, Elliot, Luke, Jackson, Jacob, Elizabeth, Oliver, Simon, and Lillian.  Brothers; Ed Kozar (Barbara), Michael Franchock, sisters; Mary Ann Baker (Ron), Betty Hunter, and Judy Lynch.
Friends and family will be received Tuesday from 4-7 pm in McCabe Funeral Home, 300 West Third Avenue, Derry.  A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11 am at the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church of Derry. Interment will follow in the Coles Cemetery, Derry.
