Susan Eileen Waite

Susan Eileen Waite, 65, of Ligonier passed away peacefully Sunday, March 16 at Independence Health System Latrobe Hospital.  Born February 7, 1960, in Ligonier, she was the daughter of the late John F. and Nancy A. (Park) Kradel.  Susan was a longtime employee of Westmoreland County, working as a secretary at Westmoreland County Courthouse, a records supervisor at Westmoreland County Prison, and a secretary at the Magisterial District Court in Ligonier. She continued to work part-time at the District Court after her retirement. She also worked for many years at Sears in Westmoreland Mall.  Susan enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She especially cherished time spent with her beloved granddaughter, great-nephews, and great-nieces. She was fond of cats and provided a caring home for many over the years.  In addition to her parents, Susan was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis R. Waite.  Susan is survived by her son Samuel (Kristen Wolford); granddaughter Margot Wolford-Waite; siblings Kim Kradel, Sally Smichnick (Ronald), John Kradel (Kimberly), Amy Kradel (Suzette McLeod), and Mark Kradel; as well as uncles, an aunt, and two generations of nephews and nieces.  There will be no public visitation.
