Thomas Lee Bennett

Thomas Lee Bennett, 72, of Mahaffey, died Thursday July 16, 2026 at the Punxsutawney Hospital. Tom was born on August 10, 1953 in Clearfield a son of the late Orvis and Freda (Lee) Bennett. He grew up on Bethlehem Hill and graduated from Purchase LIne HIgh School in 1972. Tom entered the workforce at Benjamin Coal company and later worked at Lamkie Coal, K &J Coal company and Wampum Hardware.
Tom was a devoted son, brother, and uncle. He enjoyed time with his family and hunting and fishing with his brothers.

Tom is survived by 2 brothers, Ken (Jackie) Bennett of DuBois, PA , Fred (Susan) Bennett of Cherrytree,Pa and two sisters, Diane (Bill) Rainey of Mahaffey, PA and Mona (Kenny) Murray of Woodland, PA. Tom is also survived by nephews Ken (Tammie)Bennett JR , Scott Bennett ,Ian Murray,and nieces Diana Bennett, Kim (Doug) Puharic, , Melissa Bennett, and Gretta (William) Treusch, and great nephews Andy ,Brett.and great nieces Bella, Sydney, Lauren, Kenna, and Kalee.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers Charles Bennett and LeRoy Bennett both from Mahaffey and an infant niece, Alexis Puharic from Erie, PA.

All arrangements and burial at Mt. Zion Cemetery were private at the request of the deceased.
McCabe-Roof Funeral of Clymer was in charge of arrangements.
