Vaughn W. Dickson

            Vaughn W. Dickson, 84, of Latrobe passed away on June 8, 2024.  He was born on December 13, 1939 in Derry Township, a son of John M. and Leora (Bush) Dickson.  Prior to his retirement, he was employed by Lattanzio’s Scrap Yard and Latrobe Steel.  He is a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps.

            In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, William Dickson, John Dickson, Charles Dickson, Karl Dickson, Marion Rhodes, Betty Miller, and Ruth Dickson.

            Vaughn is survived by his wife of 45 years, Cecilia R. Zimcosky Dickson, his two daughters, Cecilia Dickson (Chad Pociernicki) and Gretchen Dickson Irwin (Terrence Irwin), his two grandchildren, Zachary Irwin and William Irwin, as well as his brothers, James Dickson and Donald Dickson, and sisters-in-law, a brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, and friends.

            By Vaughn’s request, there will be no public visitation or services.  Interment will be private.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to any charity of choice.
