Violet M. Knupp

Violet M. Knupp, 99, of Ligonier died Friday January 16, 2026 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born June 27, 1926 in Jones Mills a daughter of the late Freeman G. and Gladys Reese McLean.
Violet was a member of the Oak Grove Church of Christ and her family was the world to her.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husbands; John R. Luther, Ralph T. Graham and Clarence E. "Bud" Knupp, daughter Dianne Kimmel, grandsons Rex Alan and Patrick Horner, siblings; Homer W. and W. E. Gene McLean, Dorothy Kalp, Alverta Alexander and Gertrude Stehley.
She is survived by her children; John R. Luther, Daniel T. Luther (Kaye) and Joan Williams all of Ligonier, a son-in-law Harry Kimmel of Boswell, grandchildren Crystle; Greenawalt (Brian), Becky Luther, Katrina Luther, Scott Horner (Karen), Stephanie Horner (Scott Matson), Harry Kimmel Jr., Michael Kimmel (Rhonda), John Kimmel (Felicia), Joe Kimmel (Megan), and Nikki Rose (Kurt), several great and great great grandchildren.
Friends will be received Wednesday January 21, 2026 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm in the McCabe Funeral Home, 144 East Main Street, Ligonier. A funeral service will be conducted Thursday January 22, 2026 at 2 pm in the Oak Grove United Church of Christ. Interment will be made in the Menoher Memorial Cemetery.
