Virginia Marie Long

Virginia Marie Long, 92, of Laughlintown, was called to her eternal home on Sunday October 22, 2023. She was born July 27, 1931, in Laughlintown, a daughter of the late Harry and Ruth DeWitt Riffle.
Virginia enjoyed spending time on her patio watching the wildlife, cooking, and being with family and friends.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Raymond William "Slip" Long and her brothers; Robert and James Riffle and her sister Mae Tantlinger.
She is survived by her loving daughter Catherine "Cathy" O'Brien, her grandson Derek O'Brien (Kara), her granddaughter Courtney Murray (Colin),  her six great grandchildren whom she adored; Bailey, Mason and Cillian O'Brien, Griffin, Tate and Teague Murray,  and her special nephew Robert "Butch" Riffle (Mary Lou).
Friends will be received Thursday from 4-7pm in the McCabe Funeral Home, 144 East Main Street, Ligonier. A graveside service will be conducted Friday at 11am in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Laughlintown.
