William T. Smail, 72, of Ligonier, passed peacefully at his home on Saturday April 2, 2022.
He was born January 30, 1950 in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Clarence B. and Dorothy Reffner Smail.
Bill graduated from Jeannette High School and then from American University. He had worked for over 40 years along with family at Smail Auto Group. He was a lover of nature and always found beauty in everything and everyone that touched his life. He was involved for many years with Fort Ligonier Days and the Southern Allegheny Art Museum.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by an infant sister, Katherine Ann Smail and brother Clarence B. "Bud" Smail Jr.
He is survived by his husband Richard Kozar, his brother James A. Smail (Nancy) of Ligonier, sister in law Ellen Smail of Greensburg, several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
A memorial service celebrating his life will be held at a later date.
