Dear Kim and Nate,
I just heard about Donna in a Christmas card from Mrs Harder. So sorry. She was such a strong Christian. I looked up to her. My father, Richard Scott Davidson was Donna's cousin.
My condolences, Tamara

I am so sorry to hear about Donna. I taught with her for a number of years. Donna put her heart and soul into the children at Purchase Line. I once told her, her fifth and sixth band sounded like a college band because of her hard work, dedication, and skill at teaching. Donna had a positive impact on the lives of many children and teachers alike. She will be missed.

Carl, Kim and Nathan,
Donna was one of our best friends when we lived in Mahaffey. We stayed in touch each year at Mahaffey Camp. Camp won't be the same without Donna at the organ! We extend our condolences to the entire family and we will be praying for you.

Kim, Nate, and Family,
Sorry to hear of your loss. I will forever think of her as "Mrs. Read," and picture her playing the piano with that far away look she would get when she was really into the music. Her legacy carries on through many of us. She was a very special woman.

Mrs. Read was my music teacher at Purchase Line South. She was an incredible teacher, with patience and passion. I remember her telling the band one year that she always took a big breath when a song started, because she wanted to breathe with us. She cared about her students and is one of the few I remember even to this day. May she rest in peace.

I'm so thankful for Mrs. Read. What patience and love she must have had for children! She initiated and encouraged my budding musical walk, which is still developing! Playing a musical instrument opened doorways to friendships and opportunities I treasure. It happened because she cared to teach. I'm blessed to have known her.

I've missed Donna every Sunday Morning when the worship team sings. I've been playing the piano but miss her lead on the organ. It's just not been the same since she's been away.
I have fond memories of when Donna was my band teacher. She always kept us together. And made us PRACTICE!
I remember stopping by her house last November when my dad died. She had words of comfort and shared with me the passing of Bob , Richard and her father. She knew what it's like to be a caregiver and offered some wisdom for caring for my mother.

Kim and Nate- next time you hear a beautiful piano solo, you'll know which angel from heaven is playing it. My sympathies to you both on your loss of such a great lady.
