Macklin D. "Hoop" Snyder, 89, passed away on October 10, 2016 at UPMC Magee Hospital in Pittsburgh.

Mr. Snyder was born July 13, 1927 in Clearfield, PA.

Macklin was a veteran of the US Navy.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy J. (Webster) Snyder.

He was a member of Bells Landing Baptist Church, and he enjoyed watching the Steelers and the Pirates.

He is survived by three daughters; Sue Craft and fiance' Darrell Davis of Punxsutawney, PA, Kathy Reddinger of Home, PA, Holly Janco and husband Jody of Torrington, Connecticut, three grandchildren; Tara Craft and boyfriend Chris Wachob of Punxsutawney, PA, Chanta Craft and boyfriend Paul Masi of Punxsutawney, PA, Terry Reddinger of San Diego, CA, and two great-grandchildren; Jackson Fye of Punxsutawney, PA and a grandson on the way, Whit Wachob of Punxsutawney, PA.

In addition to his wife Nancy, he was preceded in death by a daughter; Pamela J. Binney and several brothers and sisters.

Friends will be received Thursday, October 13th from 4-8 PM at the McCabe Funeral Home in Punxsutawney.

A funeral service will be held Friday, October 14th at 11 AM at the funeral home with Rev. Bruce Dimmick officiating.

Interment is private for family.
