Dear Anderson Family: It breaks our hearts when death separates us from the ones we love so much especially when they are as young as Augustus. We are reminded in the Bible that God sees our pain and sorrow and has promised that soon death will be no more. (Revelation 21:4) He will heal our broken hearts by resurrecting our precious loved ones to life again. (Acts 24:15) I hope in the days ahead as you reflect on the life of Augustus, and the beautiful memories left behind, that you would also find comfort in God's promises to us for the near future. I do not know your family. But when I heard that an 8 year old boy was taken too soon from his family and friends, I just had to reach out to you and tell you that all of you have my deepest heartfelt sympathy. Just looking at his picture, I can tell he was a very happy boy and so handsome. As I read his obituary, he just finished third grade as an honor student. He loved dinosaurs and already decided he wanted to be a Paleontologist. I know you are so proud of him. I am praying that God will wrap his arms around all of you as you go through this terrible time of mourning and I know Augustus will always be near all of you. When you are reunited with your son, it will be a very joyous reunion. Rest in peace, Augustus and let the angels carry you into paradise with Jesus. I can not imagine what you must be feeling or possibly your just numb from the sheer shock of the situation. Whatever your state of being at this time, I pray you are given strength and grace to endure this horrific storm. I can not say anything that I'm sure you haven't already been told, but I can remind you that you are not alone and neither is your precious Augustus. He is wrapped in God's loving arms. We are good friends with Fr. Patrick Rutledge who just shared this tragic news with us. We cannot tell you how sorry we are to hear of your loss!
